Back from the road

“I worked for over 7 years at Morssinkhof as an electrician. When I went to live together with my boyfriend in Apeldoorn, I worked for a year as an Electrical Engineer in Apeldoorn. As of November 1, 2021, I am back at Morssinkhof Plastics, now as a cooperating foreman electro. It is a bit of a drive, but I am happy to make up for it, I enjoy going to work”.

Passion

“I once took a career choice test, this showed that I should work in engineering, preferably electrical engineering in industry or utilities. That's definitely true, engineering is my passion. When people say that something is not possible in the field of technique, I experience this as a challenge to be able to realize it”.

Work

“The thing I enjoy most about my job is, of course, the engineering. It is a great challenge to keep everything on track, planning and still making sure that the right people get to the right place every time, as well as the right materials. I really enjoy my work. We work with short lines and the working atmosphere is good, an informal Achterhoek 'no nonsense' atmosphere.” As an electrical foreman, I am responsible for all technical tasks, such as planning and work preparation, ordering materials, updating drawings and deploying the right people (external mechanics, installers, software engineers).

The future

“If it's up to me, I'll still be working here in 5 years. At Morssinkhof Plastics they are open to growth and improvement and of course I hope that I can grow with them. Maybe I would like to do another study, .... although, I would still want this job! In short, this is the perfect job for me, I work with passion and a lot of fun. On a personal level, I would still like to motorcycle through America (Route 66) or go to Lapland, see the Northern Lights.”
