With the official opening of 𝙈𝙊𝙋𝙀𝙏 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙜𝙞𝙪𝙢 𝙞𝙣 𝙉𝙚𝙪𝙛𝙘𝙝𝙖̂𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙪, we are expanding our PET recycling activities in Belgium and taking another important step towards keeping valuable materials in circulation.
The new facility can recycle up to 40,000 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙀𝙏 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧, , processing transparent and opaque PET bottles as well as PET trays into high-quality recycled material for new food packaging.
Building on our many years of experience in bottle-to-bottle recycling, MOPET Belgium expands our capabilities with tray-to-tray recycling and new food-grade applications for opaque PET bottles, helping us keep even more valuable materials in circulation.
Circularity at this scale does not happen through one company or one technology alone. It takes:
✅𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 across the value chain,
✅𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 to find new solutions,
✅𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 to invest in the future and
✅𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚 to turn ambitious ideas into industrial reality.
MOPET Belgium creates 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 90 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙟𝙤𝙗𝙨 and provides a strong platform for further development in PET recycling technologies.
A proud milestone for everyone who contributed to making this possible, and another step towards turning yesterday’s packaging into tomorrow’s resource.
